Litigation

On behalf of each of an insurer, insurance wholesaler and insurance broker, Andrew’s responsibilities included the management of numerous litigation matters involving a wide variety of insurance-related claims, as well as decision-making participation at arbitrations, trials and numerous mediations.

Governance

As Corporate Secretary, Andrew revised and updated corporate structures (including Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws) for various organizations and led efforts to establish and structure multiple Board Committees and rules of practice, In each case changes were made in accordance with applicable local, state and federal statutes and regulations. He also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Counsel of New Jersey.

Contracts

Regulations

As General Counsel for various insurance-related entities, Andrew negotiated thousands of contracts covering, among other areas, software and a myriad of varied third-party service relationships, real estate purchases and leases, agency and broker/ carrier relationships, facilities management, auto purchases and leasing, NDAs, non-competes, securities transactions, memberships, travel and financial issues.

Andrew has been an active member of several national and state insurance industry associations (most recently NAPSLO - now WSIA, NAMIC, NYIA, MIF and ICNJ) and their respective committees on federal and state regulation of insurance. In addition to serving as a faculty member and panel presenter at association functions, he has also participated in numerous first-hand lobbying visits in Albany and Washington, DC.
